Glitter Egg Soap Making Project
This
fun project is quick and simple to make and produces beautiful hand soaps.
They make great gifts. The Materials list is at the bottom of the page.
Please be patient, the images may take a moment to load.

 |
| 1. Start with an Easter Egg chocolate mold. |
2. Melt the soap base in a double boiler. Add glitter dye to suit.
Stir well then pour into mold. IMPORTANT: When using chocolate molds
the pouring temperature cannot exceed 165 degrees F. or the mold will
be damaged. |
 |
 |
| 3. Allow to cool fully then remove from the mold. If you have difficulty
demolding the soaps, place the mold in a freezer for 5 minutes then
try again. Once demolded, allow the soaps to reach room temperature
before handling if the freezer was used. |
4. Glycerine attracts moisture (that's why it is such a great moisturizer),
and will lose a lot of its beauty if left exposed to air. Finished
soaps should be wrapped in plastic cling wrap until you plan to put
them out to maintain their appearance. |
 |
|
| 5. Completed project ready for storage until needed. |
