  • How can I make silicone dipped small lights.

I have never tried this myself, but have heard that you use a silicone like that used for fish tanks. This is squeezed out into a container then dip the bulb.

  • Can I actually make money selling muy candles (soaps, leather crafts, etc...)?

Yes. How much depends mostly on how hard you want to work at it, and how nice your handcrafted products are. If you are looking to just make some extra money on the side it is fairly simple. If you plan to turn it into a career, it is much more complex and requires a lot of dedication.

  • How do I determine selling price for hand crafted items?

Most crafters multiple the material cost times 4 to get the retail price and times 2 for the wholesale price. This formula works well for items that involve a medium amount of labor. For items that requre very little labor, 3 times material cost would be suitable for retail price. For items that require a lot of labor (such as hurricane candles, or leather carving) a much higher markup of materials cost should be used.
