| 9. Place a cardboard square atop the mold to support the sugar when it is flipped. | 10. Turn it over and remove the mold. |

| 11. Repeat for the other half of the skull. | 12. Set aside to dry for a minimum of 8 hours - longer is better. |

| 13. Mix some royal icing. Apply the icing to one skull half. | 14. Press the skull halves together. It is best to allow the icing to harden before continuing, however if you handle it carefully it may be decorated immediately. |

| 15. Cut a rectangle of foil. Apply a thin layer of icing to the foil and place on the forehead area. A departed loved ones name may be written here with icing and a round decorating tube. | 16. The following steps are made with colored icing and various decorating tubes. |
