The following is an excerpt from part three of this series. In this segment I will discuss various chocolate products and what makes them suitable for for your product line.
This is one of the most important things to consider, yet most hobbyists turning pro give it very little thought. You may be a highly talented chocolate maker with a wide variety of skills - but that does not necessarily mean you should offer for sale everything you know how to make.
There are two main factors when choosing products to sell - how well it will sell and can you make money selling it. At a glance this may seem fairly straightforward and obvious, but take a moment to think about this. The two conditions seem unrelated, but are actually linked to each other inseparably. A highly desirable product that has to be priced out of the market to make a profit is not a good choice. Conversely a poor quality product with high profit margin may sell poorly as well.
