Hope someone can give me some advice...
I have a new tan leather chair that I would like to age-up / distress / antique. Just so that it has that scrunchy lived in look.
(Like the Ralph Loren ones you see around)
How should I go about it. I don't want to risk a disaster as it was rather expensive.
Any ideas would be greatfully received !!

Hi,

Personally I don't recommend trying this - especially on an expensive piece of furniture. Although I know very little about distressing leather, it is usually done before making or assembling the end product.

The exception to this is bomber jackets. Several years ago it was popular to distress these to look like authentic WW2 jackets. I have seen folks drive over them repeatedly with a car, sandpaper them, beat them with chains etc. Unfortunately this would destroy a chair.
