Place the prepared cardboard insert into the mold.

Wick the mold normally.

Pour a thin layer of wax into the mold and allow it to cool. This
will seal the bottom of the cardboard.

Fill with melted wax. I generally use a pouring temperature of approximately
170 degrees F. for this.

Place the mold in a prepared water bath.
Step 14
As the wax hardens, poke several relief holes near the wick.

Allow the wax to cool fully before continuing.

Make a second pour and allow to cool fully.
