Step 9
Put on a pair of heavy work gloves and place the mold in the water bath prepared in step 3.

Step 10
Immediately lift the insert 1/2 inch.

Step 11
After 1 minute has passed, lift the insert another 1/2 inch.

Step 12
Repeat step 11 until the insert is fully removed from the mold.

Step 13
Allow the wax to cool until the wall thickness is approximately 3/8 inch thick. It may be necessary to cut away some surface film to observe the wall thickness.

Step 14
Once the desired wall thickness has been reached, remove the mold from the water bath.

Step 15
Use a sharp knife to cut away the surface film.

Step 16
Pour the liquid wax remaining in the center of the candle back into the pouring pot for use on another candle.
