About
Welcome to The Fire Pit. Useful stuff intermixed with the personal musings of a 21st century cave man or for those desiring political correctness a modern unsophisticated primitive human male who has decided to chisel some words onto the cave walls of the new millennium.
Since this is my first foray into blogging and it is a modern technology, I am also going for a less traditional format than I usually write in. Although I will never catch up to the cutting edge of blogging or any other internet technology (everytime I think I am winning the rat race - along come faster rats) I am striving for something different from my myriad of web sites.
This Blog is supported by One Stop Candle and is dedicated to candle making, chocolate making, leather working, candy making, plaster craft, site news, and any other debris that comes into my head.
I hope to keep this blog fun and entertaining to read and your comments are welcome - please read the rules before posting any comments.
About Me:
I am 50 and live on Long Island, NY but spend as much time as possible in the forests of upstate New York where I have a small cabin.
I’ve been making candles since the early 1970s and in recent years I have branched out into other crafts as well. I am a faily prolific author on candle making and chocolate making, somewhat less on other craft topics such as candy making, leather working, plaster craft, and baking.
