Lol, that sounds a lot more pompous than it is - but big changes are occuring at Onestopcandle.com and I just wanted to keep you up to date.
First, I just want to say that we have not forgotten our loyal candle, soap, leather, and plaster customers - the splitting of the site between food related and non food related items was just the beginning. We also plan a major overhaul to Onestop’s web site to take advantage of the improved software currently available. Splitting the sites was just the first step in a long line of planned improvements to our service. And yes, the pink and black color scheme may finally be retired - when we get closer to the relaunch I’ll be inviting comments / votes on whether it should stay or go.
Secondly, I realise that some customers use products that are now split between two web sites. Orders from both sites may be combined to save shipping costs by simply checking the combine orders checkbox during checkout.
Redirecting - we are beginning to install redirects on the food related products and project pages, so please switch all food product shopping to chocomolds.com to provide a seamless shopping experience since more and more product links will begin redirecting to chocomolds as this process progresses.
Customer Accounts - The databases were moved to the Chocomolds site on September 1, 2010. If your account at Onestop is older than that, you should be able to log in with the same user name and password. Accounts created here since that time will need to set up a new account at Chocomolds.
Overall the splitting of the site has gone smoothly, and we have been putting in extra hours to fix any problems that occur (so far just broken links, or links that still reference Onestop).
After a monumental 3 month effort our new site - chocomolds.com is now open. All chocolate, candy, and baking related products have been moved there.
Please start using the new site for these food related products as we will begin phasing them out at One Stop almost immediately.
